POLL: Can consumer music magazines halt their decline?

Rhian Jones
NME

POLL: Magazine readership figures published last week seem to paint a bleak picture for the future of consumer music titles.

Music bible NME recorded a 13.5% drop over the six month period from December 2011, with a steady downward slide of 17.6% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, Q Magazine lost 15,822 readers year-on-year in the six months to June 2012.

Earlier this year, many in the industry mourned the closure of popular (and excellent) monthly mag The Word.

So is this the end of magazine print as we know it? Or is there still room for the paper format in an increasingly digital age? Answer our poll below and feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments section...
