Polydor revives Fiction Records imprint

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ian Brown and Snow Patrol are the first acts to be moved onto the label, which Polydor acquired in October 2001. Fiction Records was founded by Chris Parry in the 1970's, whose first signing to the label was The Cure. Parry later went on to establish Xfm, eventually selling the independent radio station to the Capital Group.
