Mead was the winner of the BBC reality show which ended with him taking the lead role in the recent revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Mead's self titled first album is being produced by Graham Stack and is due for release on November 19. It will include the Gary Barlow penned track When I Need You Most and a cover of Paint It Black as performed during the BBC show.
