Pop music might have dominated record sales in 2012, but that's no reason for the industry and the media to go out of their way to focus on the genre in 2013.
That's according to leading UK A&R execs at Universal Music, who have responded to stats released this morning from the BPI and the Official Charts Company, which showed that the genre took 38.5% of the singles market last year.
