SMG Europe profits dip 22% in 2014, revenues rise 3.7%

Venue operator SMG Europe suffered a dip in pre-tax profits last year due to a reduced touring schedule and the administration of Manchester Arena’s naming rights partner, Phones 4u.

However, the company’s 2014 results showed a 3.7% growth in revenue to £45.2 million following a successful first full year of operation for its First Direct Arena in Leeds.
