Pulp will be presented with a PRS for Music Heritage Award on Monday, May 4 at The Leadmill, Sheffield, where the band first gigged in the '80s.
Led by frontman Jarvis Cocker, Pulp played the venue on August 16, 1980, recording tracks in the typical electronic new wave “Sheffield sound” of the time.
Pulp went on to sell millions of albums and play sold out gigs, including Glastonbury in 1995.
A plaque will be unveiled by the band at 5pm ...
