Radio 2 cuts down coverage for 'Gary Barlow day'

Radio 2's planned Gary Barlow day has been scaled back following criticism about a lack of impartiality.

Earlier this week, it was reported that there had been complaints about the scale of planned coverage for the star, coinciding with the campaign for his current album, Since I Saw you Last.

The BBC had previously been found to have breached editorial guidelines in a similar vein with coverage of U2 in 2012.
