Radio 2's Lewis Carnie to take temporary role with BBC TV

Carnie will make the move for nine months, working on shows including Eurovision and Children In Need, before returning to his radio role in 2013.

An acting head of programmes will be appointed for the rest of the year on BBC Radio 2 while 6 Music's editor Paul Rodgers will cover Carnie's responsibilities on 6 Music.

Those responsibilities include recruiting talent and commissioning shows.
