Chris Evans’ Radio 2 breakfast show audience is rapidly heading towards the 10 million mark after rising to 9.82 million at the end of 2013.
An extra 293,000 people tuned in during the closing three months of last year compared to the same period the year before, while his numbers grew by 471,000 between quarters. It put him more than 3.5 million listeners ahead of his opposite number Nick Grimshaw.
