Rajars: Grimshaw loses 1.3 million listeners

Radio 1's breakfast show has lost 1.3 million listeners in the past year after Nick Grimshaw replaced Chris Moyles as host.

The drop, revealed in newly-published Rajar figures covering Q1 this year, means nearly one in five people who were listening at the beginning of 2012 have since tuned out.

Between January and March this year the station's flagship programme lost 1.32 million listeners compared to the same period in 2012, taking its audience from 7.10 million to 5.78 million. That represented ...
