Rajars: Radio 1 breakfast show loses another 300,000 listeners

Radio 1's breakfast show lost more than 300,000 listeners in Q3 as Nick Grimshaw's audience fell to 5.58 million.

Newly-issued Rajar figures reveal Grimmy's reach was down by 305,000 on the previous three months and 1.15 million a year on from taking over the flagship programme from Chris Moyles, a 17.1% dip.

However, the decline in overall listening to the station was much more gentle with Radio 1's reach falling 3.3% annually and 1.8% between quarters to 10.83 million. It ...
