Record Store Day vinyl sales leap 87% year-on-year
Close to 70,000 vinyl records were sold in UK in the week of Record Store Day 2013 - nearly double the tally achieved in 2012.
According to Official Charts Company data analysed by Music Week, 68,936 records were sold during the week, an 86.5% rise from the 36,957 sold in the week of Record Store Day 2012.
