RIAA's Sherman singles out "broken" notice and takedown system

Cary Sherman, chairman and CEO of the Recording Industry Association of America, considers that the "notice and takedown system is broken" and has led to a significant degradation in the value of music.   

In a Forbes op-ed posted online, Sherman acknowledges that "music has never been more consumed or important to online businesses than it is today," but instead of growing the business, this situation has led to "an inverse correlation in the perceived value of that music."
