Richie Hawtin was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Huddersfield for outstanding contribution to the world of music technology (Hon DUniv) this week.
Hawtin has been a leading figure on the global electronic music scene since the turn of the '90s, having founded seminal labels Plus 8 Records and M_nus, produced groundbreaking musical works as Richie Hawtin and Plastikman amongst other creative and music technology projects.
