Cloud-based global video network Rightster is to acquire YouTube multi-channel network Base79 for £50 million, as it announces the purchase of Viral Management Limited for £4.1 million.
To help fund the acquisitions, Rightster has raised £42 million through a placing of shares by Cenkos.
Viral Management owns Viral Spiral, which promises to ‘connect brands with viral content’.
The Base79 acquisition will comprise £25 million and £25 million in new Rightster shares, handed over 12 months after the deal is closed.
