Rolling Stones Glastonbury TV coverage drew in 2.5m viewers

The BBC’s Rolling Stones at Glastonbury TV coverage saw a peak audience of 2.5 million on Saturday night (June 29).

It was the biggest peak audience for any of the BBC’s coverage of the music festival.

The Stones’ performance saw an average of 1.3 million viewers amounting to a 15.5% share between 10:30pm and 1am.

Official figures from the broadcaster also revealed ratings for Arctic Monkeys’ performance peaked at 1.4 million the night before, while Mumford & Sons closing set ...
