Russia's three collecting societies to merge

The three accredited collecting societies in Russia that deal with author and neighboring rights have announced they are joining forces.

The new organisation "Russia's Author Society" will simplify procedures for royalty collection, reports Billboard, as rights holders will now deal with one collecting society rather than several.
