Zvooq, a Russian music streaming start-up has raised $20 million in Series A funding.
Ulmart, a Russian e-commerce company, led the funding round. Finnish private equity fund Essedel Capital is also participating.
The platform offers an advertising-based free service as well as paid for advertising-free tiers.
Zvooq, Russian for ‘sound,’ is available in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and several other territories. It can be accessed on computers and smart phones and offers a catalogue of 15 million songs.
