The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) has hired Mark Laidlaw as its new director of operations.
Laidlaw (pictured) was previously director of management services at Scottish Rugby Union, where he helped bring concerts by acts including One Direction to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.
He will be responsible for all operational and logistical aspects and event delivery across the SECC, which includes the 13,000-capacity SSE Hydro and 3,000-capacity Clyde Auditorium.
