SFX president on Beatport lay-offs: 'We were spread too thin'
SFX president Tim Crowhurst has opened up about the lay-offs at Beatport earlier this week and the shuttering of its San Francisco office.
Speaking to Billboard Crowhurst said that the Beatport team needed restructuring to “get everyone focused on one vision”.
“The hard conclusion we had to make on Beatport is that we were spread a bit too thin,” he explained but said that the thinking behind the move was “more about product vision than cost savings”.
