Shazam narrows losses to £2m, revenues up 42% in last fiscal year

Shazam has reported losses of £1.98 million for its last financial year ended June 30 2013, while revenues were up 42% year-on-year.

The music discovery firm narrowed its losses last year compared to £3.33m in its previous fiscal year. Its revenues rose to £31.02m.

Shazam has benefitted from some significant investment recently. Earlier this month, the company confirmed that it had garnered $20 million via a funding round from a consortium of private investors.
