Mercury Prize 'will get more love than it's had for some time' at BBC

The Mercury Prize has become undervalued and taken for granted over the past few years, but the BBC is ready to give it the love it deserves once more.

That’s according to director of BBC Music Bob Shennan, who has told Music Week that the Prize will get the best exposure it’s had for years at the Corporation.

The event was announced on Wednesday as going to the BBC this year as part of a new strategy with the BPI.
