Shepherd's Bush Empire reopening delayed again

Restoration work at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire has been further delayed until the end of April.

The 2,000-capacity west London venue has been closed since December 4 last year because of “serious structural damage” to its roof. Concerts scheduled up to April 30 have been rescheduled or moved to other venues in London. A full list can be viewed here.

The venue had previously been expected to re-open in mid-April.

A statement from the venue reads as follows: "Unfortunately, our on-going repair work to the roof will extend due to the complexity of the project. We apologise that currently all shows up to and including April 30, 2016 are affected at this point in time, and will be moved to other venues in London or rescheduled as necessary.

"We thank artists, promoters and fans for their cooperation and patience and wish to reassure everyone that safety is our priority."
