Slacker goes on-demand

The company previously allowed users to build personalised internet radio stations akin to Last.fm's offering - offering users the Radio Plus ad-free version for $3.99 (?2.46) a month.

Its latest move with Slacker Premium Radio opens up on-demand subscription - similar to that offered by rival services such as Rdio, MOG and Rhapsody - alongside its recommendation and discovery arm.
