Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman dies aged 49 after health complications from spider bite

Slayer guitarist and founding member of the band, Jeff Hanneman, has died aged 49 from liver faliure, due to what appears to be complications following a spider bite.

Hanneman died in California yesterday morning local time, 32 years after founding Slayer with Kerry King.

A statement from the band's publicist reads:
