Soniqplay - the interactive audio platform company - has partnered with radio station Kiss to launch a new app which allows users to remix and share music.

Through the Kiss Remixer app. users can create their own remix of tracks taken from the Kiss playlist and share their creations via Twitter and Facebook, or save to be played back later.

The app contains the different elements of a song – vocals, guitar and drums - to allow the user to remix it however they wish, adding DJ effects on top.

Each track can be purchased for £1.99 through an in-app storefront. The app is available to the iOS and Blackberry 7 community via the App Store and Blackberry App World.

At launch, the app features artists from major record labels in the UK and will include songs from Example, Rizzle Kicks, No Doubt, Ellie Goulding and Rudimental among others.

Commenting on the launch, Tom Bulwer, Head of Mobile, for Ministry of Sound said: “Soniqplay has a combination of a great product and a scalable distribution model.

“We are really looking forward to seeing the benefits of this new digital revenue stream and the way the app opens up a new level of interaction between fans and the music they love.”
