Amidst the controversy, earlier this week Grooveshark signed further licensing deals with a number of US independent labels but yesterday Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group remained on the other side of the fence as they joined an amended complaint to the suit filed by Universal last month.
It was reported that new evidence - an email from a Grooveshark executive - read: "We cannot be a real company until and unless we secure the licenses that we need."
