Sony/ATV's Bebawi: 'Ad-funded isn't a sensible model for all access music'

There's enough in the paid for subscription pot "for everyone to make a decent amount of money". Free ad-funded models, on the other hand, aren't a sensible approach to all access music platforms.

That's the belief of Sony/ATV's European EVP of digital and society relations Antony Bebawi, expressed in an interview in this week's Music Week.

It's a sentiment that's in line with many of the major record labels, according to reports.
