Sony's Tony Smith joins Kim Dotcom's Baboom
Tony Smith - previously director of finance for Australia and New Zealand at Sony - has joined Kim Dotcom's music streaming service Baboom as chief financial officer.
During a 26-year career, the exec has held stints at Polygram, Zomba, BMG Music and BMG Publishing before spending the last four years at Sony.
Baboom will stream music through the higher quality lossless FLAC format and offer ad-supported and ad-free options. Its launch is planned for later this year.
