Independent PRO SoundExchange paid $162 million to rights-holders in Q1 2014 - its largest first quarter payment to date.
SoundExchange collects and distributes digital performance royalties to recording artists and labels. The service collects digital performance royalties from around 2,500 digital radio providers.
