Digital performance rights organisation SoundExchange closed 2013 with total digital performance royalty payments to artists and labels for the year reaching approximately $590.4 million - up 28% from 2012.
Now in its 11th year, the company reported a record-breaking distribution in the fourth quarter last year, paying $170.4 million to recording artists and record labels.
