Soundgarden announce first studio album in over 15 years

Soundgarden have announced their first studio album in over 15 years.

King Animal will be released on November 12 on Mercury Music Group imprint Vertigo with first single Been Away Too Long set for digital retailers on September 27.

King Animal will be Soundgarden’s sixth studio album with the band co-producing with Adam Kasper (Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Pearl Jam) and recording in Seattle’s Studio X. Joe Barresi (The Melvins, Queens Of The Stone Age, Weezer) took on mixing duties in Pasadena California.

The band lays claim to two Grammyawards, seven overall nominations and over 21 million records sold worldwide across their career.
