Soundrop launches web app

Social and interactive 'listening room' music service Soundrop has launched as a global web app in beta.

The new version lets users tap into existing listening rooms based on artists, genres and moods.

Via its partnership with Spotify - the streaming service's move to the web is used as a way of building out part of the audio component, and synchronising those tracks with videos from YouTube.

In the countries where Spotify does not work, Soundrop reverts to searching and using tracks posted on YouTube and Vevo.

The app is the latest product in a series that also includes a Spotify app and the ability to access rooms via Facebook embeds.
