Spotify lowers radio royalty obligation in the US

Spotify is now paying webcasting royalties to SoundExchange for streams on the free internet radio service launched in June on its mobile app.

The company was one of many listed on a SoundExchange blog post, citing the most recent digital services to notify the US copyright of their intent to operate under the Section 114 statutory license.
