Spotify partners with German telecoms group

Spotify will be available as part of a mobile tariff in Germany for the first time from tomorrow (October 2), following a new deal with Deutsche Telekom.

Deutsche Telekom’s customers will have access to its first ever mobile phone package including unlimited music streaming with Spotify Premium.

The telecoms group is launching two exclusive tariffs bundled with Spotify Premium: The Special Complete Mobile Music tariff is available at either €29.95 per month, or €39.95 per month with a new Smartphone – both including call flat, data flat and SMS allnet flat besides the Spotify Premium.

The tariffs can be booked online at www.telekom.de/spotify or in all of Deutsche Telekom’s shops across Germany.

Spotify Premium will also be available as an add-on option for €9.95 for Deutsche Telekom’s fixed line and mobile customers later this year.

The launch marks the latest in a series of high profile telecom partnerships in Europe, which include Telia (Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway), Virgin Media (the UK), Yoigo in Spain, SFR in France and KPN in the Netherlands.
