Spotify sidelines music downloads store

Spotify appears to have sidelined its music download store, according to reports.

The service (which is primarily a streaming platform) now displays a notification which reads “We’re currently not supporting new download purchases on Spotify” when purchases of tracks via its desktop client are attempted.

Users who have already bought download bundles can still use up any remaining credit to buy tracks.
