Spotify snaps up Google exec, Russian launch on the way?

Spotify has hired Google’s Alexander Kubaneishvili sparking speculation that the streaming service is about to set up in Russia.

According to TechCrunch, Kubaneishvili will be gin work next week with Spotify aiming to land in Russia in Q3 this year.

It would be the platform’s first step into the BRIC economic bloc of countries boasting huge populations and fast growth (Brazil, Russia, India and China).

TechCrunch also suggests that Spotify is working on a launch in Brazil as well. ...
