Sunday Best release David Lynch album

Sunday Best release David Lynch album

Crazy Clown Time is release in the UK on November 7 and one day later in the US.

It includes two electronic tracks that Sunday Best first released last year - the Underworld-esque Good Day Today and I Know - alongside 12 new tracks recorded at Lynch's own Asymmetrical Studio.

Album opener Pinky's Dream features vocals from Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, while engineer Dean Hurley contributes guitar and drums to several songs.

Lynch said that the recording was filled with creative accidents, adding, "There were so many accidents; this album should be in the hospital."

Lynch described the resulting music as "modern blues". "The love of experimenting with sound and music is what was driving this boat," he explained. "All of the songs on the album started as a jam. The jams eventually found a form and lyrics appeared."

The album will be released in a variety of formats, including standard and Collector's Edition CD, iTunes exclusive with video and a double LP set with bonus tracks.

While this will be Lynch's first full solo album, in the past he has collaborated frequently on musical projects, including working with composer Angelo Badalamenti on the Twin Peaks soundtrack and Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse on the Dark Night Of The Soul album.
