Reports have suggested that Theo Paphitis has contacted HMV administrators Deloitte about taking on some of the retailer’s stores.

Retail Week reports that the Ryman Group and Robert Dyas owner is also in-line to acquire Jessops and Blockbuster stores and has been in talks with administrators PwC.

Earlier this month, following being bombarded by pleas on Twitter to save the retailer, Paphitis tweeted: ‘No HMV not for me, sadly has no reason to exist any more!’
