Dave Stewart has come out in defence of Spotify saying that songwriters should “worship” the streaming service because “it is one of the few companies that actually pays properly.”
Speaking to The Guardian, Stewart was responding to the widely-publicised criticisms of Thom York and Nigel Godrich of Spotify after the former’s albums were pulled from the service in July.
Producer Godrich said at the time that it was “bad for new music” and that “artists get paid fuck all” ...
