The clash between the two companies previously came about as TuneCore had come to the end of its contract with Amazon and claimed that the e-tailer "had not been paying TuneCore Artists to license their songs for download in a significant number of the recordings distributed". This resulted in the TuneCore removing its songs from the Amazon's EU and UK stores.
