TV company RVL Productions launches with £50,000 songwriting competition as main focus

A new television production company, RVL Productions, launched on October 14, with the ambition to create programming centred on a songwriting competition offering £50,000, which is the biggest prize for a songwriting competition worldwide, totalling more than the International Songwriting Competition, the World Wide Music Contest, and the Mercury Award combined.

It aims to showcase strictly new and original music that reflects the spectrum of musical cultures and genres celebrated in the UK.
