UK Music is urging David Cameron’s Conservative Government to take bolder action in Europe when it comes to the music business.
The trade body’s CEO, Jo Dipple, has told Music Week that, to date, the Government has “not been at the heart of discussions in Europe” and, in turn, “has not been putting the business case for music into the mix." That could change, however, as a result of the Government’s promised referendum on the UK’s EU membership, she suggested.
