UK Police target domain name providers in war on piracy

The UK’s newly formed Intellectual Property Crime Unit has altered its approach in the battle against piracy, targeting the providers of domain names hosting infringing sites rather than site owners themselves.

TorrentFreak reports that a number of high profile pirate websites have lost control of their sites with their domains being suspended by the providers.
