Singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes (pictured) has signed an exclusive global publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).

Through the deal, UMPG will represent Mendes’ entire songwriting catalogue, including all songs on Billboard No.1 album Handwritten (Island Records), which was released on April 14. The 16-year-old rose to fame sharing videos on Vine of himself performing covers of hit songs, earning him a dedicated fanbase.
