Following the signing of Jahmene Douglas from the 2012 series of The X Factor, RCA Records have also signed boy band Union J who competed on the show last year.
The group have a vast and loyal online following which, in part, amounts to who have over over 800,000 Twitter followers and 9 million views on YouTube.
Union J have already started recording new material and will be releasing their first single in June.
The group said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be signed to RCA. Being on X Factor was such a great experience and the perfect way for us to start our musical journey. Hopefully 2013 will an amazing year for us and we cannot wait for everyone to hear our music.”
Their RCA signing follows the news in December that they, alongside fellow contestants Ella Henderson and Jahmene Douglas, would be inking a deal under the Sony Music umbrella.
The band are also on the X Factor Live arena tour which runs throughout the rest of January and into February.
