Universal/EMI divestments 'must be global' - Caldas

Merlin CEO Charles Caldas has reiterated the indie label association’s opposition to the proposed sale of EMI Music to Universal saying that divestments surrounding the deal must be global if it is not blocked outright. 

In an interview with The Music Network, Caldas repeated Merlin’s concern that Universal would be able to shape the digital music market and new services to its advantage.
