Universal parent's video games giant sell-off blocked

The proposed buyout of gaming giant Activision from its owner, Universal parent, Vivendi has been stonewalled by a lawsuit from an Activision shareholder.

The case brought by Douglas Hayes seeks to prevent the sale going through without a vote by Activision’s non-Vivendi shareholders.

The deal has face opposition since it was first announced with some stockholders arguing that it does not realise the true value of the assets in question.
