Universal parent looking for US acquisitions

French media company and Universal owner Vivendi is looking for acquisitions to return to the US media business, five years after it sold its 20% stake in NBCUniversal.

The New York Post reports that Vivendi has already talked to at least one company, according to sources, and is looking for “tech and digital assets”.

The company could spend as much as $1 billion on US acquisitions, according to several sources who have had talks with representatives of the company.
