Universal Music Group recorded revenues of €2.236 million (£1.91m) in the first half of 2013 – up 16.3% period on period – while that of parent company Vivendi slipped 1.5%.
Digital sales for the major label represented 53% of recorded music sales in the half compared to 47% in 2012. It's the first time the company has seen digital account for more than half of overall sales.
